On a birthday trip to Italy, photographer Deepti Asthana’s senses had all but gotten used to the buzz of Milan, when she decided to keep moving. Directionless and delicious, an amble through some northern cities revealed the oldness of hilly Bergamo, the Renaissance heart of Florence and some slow Venetian romance for the keeping.
