Beach lovers considering a trip to the Andaman and Nicobar islands now have one more airline to choose from. Starting 30 September 2016, Vistara will offer daily flights from Delhi and Kolkata to Port Blair. Introductory one-way fares start from ₹5,500 from Kolkata and ₹9,850 from Delhi in economy class, plus taxes. Online bookings are open.

GoAir is joining the party too. Beginning 1 October 2016, the airline will be the first to introduce non-stop flights from Mumbai to Port Blair; currently, all flights require a lay-over in either Chennai or Kolkata. Return fares start from approximately ₹30,000. The flight duration will be about three hours.
